Noteworthy Accomplishments

Nick has been a member of the St. Clair county arts council since October of 2004. The St. Clair County Arts Councils goal is to further art awareness in their community.  They offer classes from regional and nationally known artists, equip youth with scholarships and art supplies, as well as providing information on upcoming art events in the community.

The summer of 2005 Nick Phillips will be working at the St. Clair County Arts Council youth camp in which he will be helping teach children as young as 5 and as old as 18 everything from basic drawing to pen and ink techniques.

In 1995 and part of 1996 nick volunteered his time to teach art to special education children at Trinity Christian academy. "People take many forms and so does art.  This was a time not only to teach, but also to learn myself. To see art from another perspective was truely inspiring."

In Feb. of 2005 Nick was involved in an art auction sponsored by the St. Clair County Arts Council in which they made over $3,000 to be used for spreading art awareness to children in the area.
